Growing up in a small town, I was surrounded by mostly locally owned businesses. Most of those businesses had been around longer than I'd been alive - including my dad's. Those small-town businesses and organizations were synonymous with the town - you couldn't have one without the other. When I moved to Des Moines to study journalism at Drake, I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though the town is much larger, the presence of small, local businesses is abundant.

During my time at Drake, I learned the vast differences between what today's journalism is and what it's supposed to be, but (somehow) I retained my passion for communication. I managed to earn my degree, but I also gained something more valuable: experience.
Between working part-time for the video crew of the athletics marketing department, making posters for my boyfriend's metal band, carrying my camera to every event that would let me, I realized that I could combine my admiration for small business and my passion for visual communication.
Small businesses, bands, underrated sports, or just people with alternative style deserve to have awesome pictures, graphics, videos, and marketing strategies that work for them. They should have someone who's willing to work with their unique approach to life, free of judgement and with the same energy and gusto of large or mainstream firms.

So this is me. I'm Nicole, and I'd love if you'd let me create some Auditory Images for you.
